| Thallus pale green to pale fawn, somewhat glossy and subtuberculate. Ascomata conspicuous, off-white, scattered or occasionally clustered, with a conspicuous thalline margin, straight, curved or sinuous, sometimes branched, 1–4 mm long, 0.3–0.6 mm wide, initially closed, becoming open to expose a black faintly white-pruinose disc. Proper exciple thin, completely carbonised. Hymenium 120–140 µm thick, not inspersed; subhymenial layer reddish brown. Ascospores 8 per ascus, irregularly biseriate, elongate-ellipsoidal, terminally rounded, initially hyaline, becoming pale brown, transversely 6 (–8)-locular, 26–30 × 6–8 µm. CHEMISTRY: Stictic acid (major), peristictic acid (minor). |
